History of the Tessendier distillery began in 1880 with Gaston Tessendier. Over the years, the family and their teams have honed their style and expertise, and today it is brothers Jérôme and Lilian who carry on the distillery’s legacy. With Arlett, they pay tribute to their mother, a whisky lover.
Whisky is a spirit made from germinated grain (usually barley, wheat, rye or maize) that has been crushed, fermented and distilled. To be classified as whisky in France, the product of this distillation must be aged for at least three years. This ageing takes place in a cask, which may be new or may have previously contained another spirit. The whisky will then take on flavours from that previous ageing process.
Orders are shipped within 24 hours (except on Sundays). Flat rate:
- Home delivery: €8 for the first bottle, then €4 per additional bottle (free delivery on orders of €120 or more)
- Pickup point: €4 per order (free delivery on orders of €90 or more)
- Click and Collect: Free pickup at our Paris store.

Élaboré à partir d’orge maltée et distillé en Charente, ce single malt est élevé pendant plus de 4 ans en fûts de chêne américain neufs et en fûts de bourbon, avant de bénéficier d’un affinage de 6 mois en fûts de chêne du Kentucky fortement toastés. Ce passage supplémentaire en fût apporte une expression plus gourmande et boisée au whisky.
Le nez s’ouvre sur des notes de caramel, de miel et de vanille, accompagnées d’une touche de céréale maltée. En bouche, la texture est douce et ronde, avec des arômes de vanille, de coco, de banane et de caramel, soutenus par les notes maltées. La finale reste douce, avec une belle présence des notes pâtissières et boisées.
Pourquoi nous l'avons sélectionné ?
Un single malt français au profil gourmand, qui joue clairement sur les codes aromatiques du Bourbon sans perdre son identité maltée. Sa rondeur et ses notes de vanille, de coco et de caramel le rendent particulièrement intéressant pur, mais aussi comme base de cocktails classiques comme l’Old Fashioned ou le Whisky Sour.
