Cécile and Christophe embarked on their spirits venture thanks to their love for the Île d’Oléron, and in particularly for the immortelle flower. Worn in the floral crown of Eleanor of Aquitaine at her wedding to Henry Plantagenet, this honey-bearing flower helps protect bees.
A liqueur is a spirit produced by macerating or infusing fruit or plants and adding sugar. It has an alcohol content of at least 15% and must have a sugar content of at least 100g/L (80g/L for gentian liqueur).
More specifically, bitters are alcoholic drinks in which bitter substances (coriander, cinnamon, orange peel, plant extracts, etc.) are macerated in alcohol. These drinks have an alcohol content of between 16% and 44.7%.
