Hériose is a single malt whiskey that embodies the indulgent elegance of France, the result of the unique inspiration of its founder, Rémi Boinaud. Of French-Scottish descent, Rémi has skillfully blended the influences of his two cultures to create Hériose.
Whiskey is a spirit made from sprouted grain (most commonly barley, wheat, rye, or corn) that has been ground, fermented, and distilled. To qualify as “whisky” in France, the distillate must be aged for at least three years. This aging takes place in a barrel, which may be new or may have previously contained another type of alcohol. The whisky will then take on flavors from that previous aging process.
A “peated” whiskey is one in which peat—a sediment found in cool, damp areas—is used during the drying of the grain after malting. Peat has a very powerful aroma and imparts smoky notes to the whiskey.

Hériose "Le Petit Tourbé" est un whisky qui bénéficie du savoir-faire d'une double distillation réalisée dans de petits alambics charentais, d'un vieillissement en fûts de bourbon, de l'expertise d'un maître assembleur acquise dans le monde du cognac et d'une tourbe écossaise, végétale.
Ce whisky, végétal et malté, qui est avant tout un whisky aux arômes pâtissiers. Originaire du Sud-Ouest de la France, Hériose séduit par sa texture crémeuse qui sublime ses saveurs pour une expérience gustative à la fois fine et gourmande.
Le conseil de Fabien : Je l'apprécie beaucoup en accord avec un saumon fumé ou avec du chocolat à la fleur de sel.
Pourquoi nous l'avons sélectionné ?
La tourbe est ici traitée avec beaucoup de retenue. Elle arrive après les notes pâtissières de vanille et de coco, puis évolue vers un registre plus herbacé, floral et légèrement cendré. L’élevage en ex-fûts de Bourbon laisse suffisamment d’espace au distillat pour conserver de la fraîcheur. Une excellente porte d’entrée vers les whiskies tourbés.
